The "Ukrainian Medical Center for the Rehabilitation of Mothers and Children of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" is the only medical institution in the south of Ukraine that provides psychological/psychological assistance, rehabilitation and comprehensive examination to mothers and children from all over Ukraine on a free basis

About the Center. About 3,000 mothers and children are rehabilitated at the Center every year. The rehabilitation course lasts 14-21 days.
The institution has an inpatient department with 100 beds.

During 2023, families with children from 15 regions of Ukraine, including those from active combat zones and front-line territories (Kherson, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv regions, etc.) completed a comprehensive examination, rehabilitation and psychological support course.

The institution employs 185 employees, 75 of whom are medical professionals. These are psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, neurologists, speech therapists, educators, physiotherapists, rehabilitators, pediatricians, dermatovenerologists, obstetrician-gynecologists, biologists, laboratory doctors, therapists, dermatovenerologists, virologists, dentists, radiologists, allergists, infectious disease specialists, doctors Ultrasound, cardiologists, physical therapy doctors, massage therapists, nurses, etc.

The medical staff has appropriate medical education in rehabilitation and psychological direction.

The center operates mobile multidisciplinary teams for the provision of psychological, mental and palliative care, during the work of which citizens living in hard-to-reach places and in territorial communities separated from highways are provided with the help they need and the need for referrals is revealed. to the Center for further inpatient rehabilitation.

Services. The Ukrainian Medical Center for the Rehabilitation of Mother and Child provides the following services:

The task of the Center is to restore mental health, develop adaptive skills, increase resistance to stress, psychotherapy of depressive, anxiety, adaptation, acute stress and post-traumatic stress disorders that arose as a result of illness/injury, etc., providing complex rehabilitation assistance during the long-term rehabilitation period in inpatient and outpatient conditions, restoration of health, prevention of complications and relapses, restoration or partial or full compensation of lost functions, prevention or slowing down of further development of pathological processes that may lead to temporary or permanent disability.

The vision of the Center is to provide psychological and rehabilitation assistance to mothers and children who have undergone courses of treatment for oncological diseases, the cardiovascular system, post-burn rehabilitation, promotion of prevention of severe mental and behavioral disorders, psychological assistance to mothers and children who have suffered from violence in the family and from violence as a result of the actions of the military armed forces of the Russian Federation, help to restore mental health.

The institution's priority is to provide assistance to families of servicemen, families of fallen Heroes, prisoners of war, internally displaced persons and civilians who suffered from the consequences of a full-scale war.

Currently, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has designated the institution as a center for psychological rehabilitation of children and restoration of mental health.

The purpose of the Center is to provide rehabilitation assistance to patients with psychosomatic disorders, with juvenile osteochondrosis and other diseases of the spine, with chronic cerebrovascular diseases, autonomic dysfunction, minimal brain dysfunction, psychological counseling and psychological correction, social rehabilitation and integration, physical rehabilitation, providing assistance in overcoming post-traumatic stress disorders, rehabilitation assistance to patients with neurological disorders, overcoming the consequences of chronic cerebrovascular diseases with accompanying somatogenic polymorbidity, treatment of somatic and cognitive disorders in children with phenylketonuria (protein malabsorption).
